The lower 1st premolar was decayed. The dentist extracted the root and replaced it with an implant before restoring it with a crown. Top right photo shows upper left bridge replacing the upper 2nd incisor by the now diseased and abscessed canine. The gum was swollen with the receded tooth and bridge being very mobile.
The bridge was removed with the loose canine and a temporary immediate bridge cemented in so the patient could go about as normal. Four months later, the bridge was replaced to compensate gum shrinkage while veneers were placed on the remaining front teeth and the lower teeth were bleached.
The outcome: A very happy patient!
