Missing Teeth » Dentures
Few things can negatively affect your confidence more than having missing teeth or no teeth at all. Fortunately, dentistry offers patients a number of solutions for this problem that are both safe and affordable. If you have a number of teeth missing, dentures could be a good solution.
A full denture replaces all the natural teeth in either the upper or lower jaws and is usually made from a hard material that can withstand the forces of biting and chewing, although eating with dentures may take some time to get used to initially. Your denture will be fitted to your mouth and will give you a natural-looking smile.
When you have a denture, it is important that you take extra care in your hygiene regime so that you can avoid bad breath, tooth decay and gum disease. Our hygienist, Teresa, will be able to show you how to best take care of your denture and gums and will tell you about specialised brushes you can use to do this.
Another advanced treatment that we offer here at St Paul’s Square Dental Practice is stabilising dentures with dental implants.
