Missing Teeth » Bridges
For patients who require more extensive restorative work to repair their teeth, fixed bridges are often a reliable solution. A bridge helps to strengthen the prepared teeth and makes chewing and eating easier because they are firmly in place and therefore can’t come out.
A bridge will not only fill the gap where your missing tooth or teeth are, giving you a natural-looking smile, but will also give you the ability to bite and chew comfortably. At St Paul’s Square Dental Practice we believe in giving you a good looking smile that also functions well, so that your enjoyment of eating is not compromised.
Bridges are normally made of a precious metal base, which makes them hard wearing and long lasting. If the bridge apears in your smile line, porcelain is then bonded to this metal base to give it a more natural tooth-like appearance. Once you have a bridge fitted, our hygienist, Teresa, will show you how to clean your bridge carefully so you can prevent bad breath and a build-up of plaque.
