Here at St Paul’s Square Dental Practice in Birmingham we have recently invested in a Versawave hard/soft tissue laser. It has numerous applications but a rather exciting one is it’s potential to remove old veneers without the use of drills. This allows us to carry out the process with minimal trauma and of course provides a much more pleasant patient experience! Here’s a video demonstrating  this procedure being carried out by Dr David Hornbrook in the USA.

At our Birmingham practice we often deal with patient’s who have undergone smile makeovers either here or abroad and are not happy with the result. Here is an example of a lady from Solihull who visited us requesting an improvement in the appearance of her veneers.  She was particularly unhappy with the shape of her central incisors, the monochrome appearance of her present veneers and the inconsistency of the colour of the teeth. We treated her by replacing her existing veneers 8 new porcelain restorations. Hopefully the result speaks for itself!
